There never seems to be a dull moment when it comes to nutrition news and May was no exception. This month may have garnered more controversy than usual, from government nutrition guidelines to genetically modified crops to obesity recommendations.
I also came across several touching accounts of people’s personal stories of conception (or lack there of). There is a lot of joy in bringing a child into this world and of course we want to (and should) proclaim that happiness to everyone who will listen. But we should also be sensitive to the heartache that many experience and be mindful of making judgmental comments.

Listening To….
There was a lot of suspense in our house earlier this month sparked by my husbands favourite band, Radiohead’s, mysterious social media activity and posting of several videos online. Finally, after lots of speculation, the band announced the release of their new album “A moon shaped pool.” At the strike of noon on May 8th we downloaded it and it has been played on repeat ever since!
My Highlights of the Month
- The rain has come! I am enjoying having some respite from the heat (I guess it is still over 300C so that is a matter of perspective!) and also watching my dusty surroundings turn green.
- I received my nutrition blogger badges from the Nutrition Blogger Network and Dietitians of Canada, which I can now proudly display on my site (look right to check them out!)
